I started my career as a State Registered Nurse, working as a nurse and health visitor before studying for a Degree in Health Studies and a Master’s Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice .
I subsequently lectured in Health Studies at Colchester Institute and became a Visiting Fellow at the University of Essex with the Department of Health and Human Sciences designing and leading courses for `Managing Coronary Heart Disease Across Primary and Secondary Care’.
Subsequent roles focusing on Cardio Vascular Disease prevention, Cardiac Rehabilitation and Diabetes management led me into the realm of exercise and fitness as I understand the difficulties for many people returning to exercise or starting to exercise after illness or an accident.
Since 2005 I have trained in, and worked as, a fitness instructor, a Mindfulness Teacher, a Pilates Teacher and Nordic Walking Leader. I am presently training to be a Dru Yoga Teacher.
I now combine these different methodologies to provide my clients with a unique mix of physical, mental and spiritual techniques to achieve their potential.
